Unidentified Wiki

Allegan County Doe was an individual whose remains were found floating in the Kalamazoo River in 1956.

Case[]

Two South Bend men, Ronald Ransberger and Floyd Searer, discovered the victim a quarter mile north and an eighth of a mile west of the mouth of the river. After the men notified the police at Saugatuck, the latter alerted the Coast Guard at Holland. They picked it up and transported the victim to Saugatuck, where they were subsequently sent to the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville.

Dr. K.C. Miller indicated that the body could have been in the river for at least a year. Additionally, the Allegan County Sheriff's Department would try to identify through a dental chart taken. The results of this probe are not known, and it's unknown if the victim's dental chart is still available for comparison.
